Since our greenhouse lettuce is our most successful crop so far, we decided to transplant more lettuce where our other crops seems to have failed. We lost a couple of tomato plants in our third bed so we planted OutRed lettuce in between tomato plants and in place of the failed tomatoes. We are fairly confident that these lettuce transplants will continue to succeed based on the productivity of our previously transplanted lettuce. It will also be important to harvest the lettuce as our organic farm continues to grow, to allow space for more lettuce leaves to develop.
