Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 - We direct seeded carrots (Sugarsnax 54 cultivar) in the field on Wednesday, October 13th and many of the spouts had emerged and produced the first true leaf after 22 days. These carrots have a 68 days-to-maturity timeline. Unfortunately, due to the late sprouting, we are uncertain if we will be able to reap a harvest from our carrots this semester, especially as the temperatures begin to cool down at this time of the year. We will continue to monitor the growth and shift our plan accordingly.
